Jogini Falls is a waterfall with a stream running down to join the river Beas in the Kullu Valley below. It is situated 3hours far from vashisht village. The way goes between the village houses and fields. The way is surrounded by the pine – deodar trees all the way till the stream reaches up. After the stream the trail becomes steep for few minutes, but overall trail is moderate. On the way there is jogni mata temple. It is sacred to the village goddess Jogini and is therefore a place of female power, known as a Shakti Peeth. There are some stone plates for hundreds of year on which local people on special occasion eat food as prasad. Below the falls there is a small shrine and below that is a Main Shrine (small temple). Villagers go to Jogini Devi to make offerings and to ask for her intercession. As it is such a peaceful, sacred place, villagers also go there occasionally to worship. Special occasions are marked by the cooking of food, performing rituals. One can enjoy an energizing dip under these cascading falls while admiring the towering snow covered mountains all around. While coming back from the waterfall one can straight come down within an hour to bahang & take bus or taxi from there or from the same way.
