Trek Schedule: 

Day 1: Reporting Manali. (1800m)

Reporting – Acclimatization – Orientation & Briefing of the trek – Trek Preparation & window shopping

(Sufficient time would be given for visiting market and nearby places)

Day 02: Manali/ Rohtang Pass/ Batal(4000m) Via Texi.(/ 8 hrs) (approx. 115 kms.)

Day 03: Trek From Batal – Chandra Tal(4270m/13096 ft; 5 to 6 hrs)Approx 15-16 kms

Day 04: Chandra Tal –Tokpo Yongma (4400m/14700ft ; 7 – 8hrs)Approx 10 – 11 kms

Day 05: Tokpo Yongma – Tokpo Gongma(4700m./ 15715ft ; 7 – 8hrs)Approx 12 – 13 kms

Day 06: Tokpo Gongma – Baralacha La(4890m./ 16030ft ; 4 – 5hrs)Approx 8–9 kms

For reserving seats you can pay 25% of amount which is non-refundable.

The other amount is payable 30 days prior expedition.

These treks are to be confirmed 30 days prior from trek date. Making arrangements for trekking is tedious and it demands lot of efforts, so a little co-operation from your side is appreciated.

The expenses occurring from change in schedule due to weather conditions or personal health issues are to be borne by the participants. The Himalaya Destination will not be responsible for weather as well as health issues.

Cancellation Policy

Planning is done well in advance. To make your trip hassle-free, smooth arrangements are made prior.
Cancellation policy is as follows:
Cancellation prior to 30 days from date of departure: 25% Refund
Cancellation between 30 days to 20 days prior to date of departure: 15% Refund
Cancellation between 20 days prior to date of departure and departure date: No Refund


Chandratal is a glacial lake at 14500 feet located between the Rohtang and kunzam passes. it is a full day’s drive to the lake from Manali. Bring one’s own gear and provisions from Manali as there is no habitation along the way.Camp the first night on the shores of the lake which is much bigger (4 km. circumference).and deeper than it looks. The Chandra river flows next to the lake. First day’s trek is of 20 kms. Following the river upstream. Past the huge riverine island known as samudra tapu which becomes one massive block of ice in the winters.
Night camp at topkogongma, next to a stream. Second day begins by fording the ice-cold Stream at 7.00 AM. Must reach the next, much bigger stream (topkoyongma)by noon as after That it is too swollen with glacial melt to cross. Camp on bluff overlooking river. Height 15500 Feet. Third day’s trek much more enjoyable and gentle. Over pastures, past the unbelievable Majestic Baralacha glacier on your left(west) which is the source of the Chandra river. Finally Reaching Baralacha pass (16500 feet) after six hours. This is on the manali –leh road and one Can gat a vehicle from here back to manali. Wildlife sightings marmot.pica, birdsi, homed Lark, lammergier vulture, wagtails, black red start, sandlark, snow pigeons, choughs
